in my local vbulletin, I have remote uploads disabled for avatars, signatures and attachmetns. i'm on Windows. but in another host, even though I have the same config (I think), the remote upload is enabled.

how can I disable it, other than customizing the templates?

if you try secure you home-hosting, remember that special scripts still can handle uploads working with $_POST variables

no luck with that, I couldn't see the remote uploads in my localhost. here's an attachment showing what I want to have without messing with templates. it's already like this on my localhost but in the other host (linux, safe mode, etc.) I still have the remote option enabled somewhere, somehow.

try disable various upload at vbulletin settings.

yes, upload is working fine (except from URL, that's why I want to disable it).

attachments have an option for disabling uploading from URL, but avatars and signatures do not.

quick hack is turn off allow_url_fopen and disable function curl_init or disable curl extension at all in php.ini
some vbulletin functions maybe can't work..
