this causes issues with images, if lightbox is enabled, how can i make it not effect attachments.

dont apply RED CODE if BLUE CODE exists

but the main thing I need is to add a variable after a link, like so:
<a href="http://google.com">google</a>($myVariable)

so anytime a link is posted $myVariable will come after it in all posts after every link.

do not do this in postbits
it caused huge sql queries

is better do changes in vbulletin bbcode parser
function => handle_bbcode_url()
look this thread http://vbsupport.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=34549 as an example to do what you need

thanks kerk, but that's not exactly what I'm trying to do. It did help with my img problem though =)
I'll post a new thread better explaining.
