What this is and does

LDM is a general-purpose tool for managing libraries of links and files, and handling uploads and downloads in a flexible way, while tracking and control user access. It has a range of integrated media players and a large library of 'plugin' extras. It has been developed steadily since the release of vb 3.0 sone five years ago, based on feedback from users at vb.org.

This is a first release for vb4.0.0, and should for the time being be considered beta software. At this stage, I am looking for feedback on features that do not work at all or do not work properly. I am not yet lookimg for suggestions of new functionality - that will come once we are sure everything is working. I have tested most of the main features and many, but not all, of the add-on 'extras'. I have not yet prepared any translations - these will come shortly.

In particular, I am looking for comments on styling that does not work properly with all browsers. I have done essentialy all of the development using Firefox, with limited tests with IE and Google Chrome.

Please do not blindly install it on a live forum without being sure that you have tested it adequately.

Installation and Usage Explained in the on-line Wiki, with a brief explanation in the file instructions.txt in the release zip.

The installer will create a new LDM database or recognise that you already have an earlier version of LDM in your database.

Unlike earlier versions of LDM, this version automatically adds a link to the product on the main vb navbar.

Please use carefully and always backup your database before upgrading. Post reports of problems and suggestions for enhancements in this thread. You can also find extensive discussion of this mod in the VB3.7 mods and VB3.8 mods sections.

For the time being, Version 2.3.0 remains the the officially-supported version for vb 3.7 and vb 3.8.

Версия форума 4.0.2
продукт установился, но оформления вообще нет. Если посмотреть html код, то там ошибка при подключении css

css.php?styleid=6&langid=2&d=1269798675&td=ltr&sheet=links_css.css

у некоторых &amp пропущен "&" из-за чего не подгружаются некоторые css файлы
Шаблон править не дает.. даже если ничего не делать и просто войти и сохранить ругается на ошибку

Хотя шаблоны не относящиеся к этому продукту прблем не имеют

этот баг тянется еще с первых бэток
=> includes/class_core.php => в функции public function render($suppress_html_comments = false) найти и заменить все вхождения & на & в строке:

такой костыль решает проблему, провда незнаю, на сколько это корректно
других способов я не обнаружил ни на офсайте ни на vb.org
